The Minister of Health, H.E. Fahad Abdulrahman AlJalajel participated today in the annual national blood donation campaign, launched by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman – may Allah bless him. Leading by example, the Minister donated blood, highlighting the Kingdom’s commitment to humanitarian values and promoting voluntary blood donation, in line with Vision 2030’s goal of building a vibrant, healthy society with a high quality of life.
AlJalajel praised the Crown Prince’s initiative as an inspiring model that has raised public awareness about the vital importance of blood donation and strengthened social solidarity. He noted that the campaign’s impact is clear, with national blood donation rates soaring more than fourfold compared to its first day. The Minister added that this success directly enhances the efficiency of healthcare services, and reminded that over 22,000 individuals have received the King Abdulaziz Medal, third class, since 1426 AH.
The Minister emphasized that the widespread public engagement reflects the deep-rooted values of giving and solidarity in Saudi society, demonstrating the campaign’s success in cultivating a culture of volunteerism under the Crown Prince’s exemplary leadership.
He also highlighted that blood donation centers across the Kingdom continue welcoming donors, as part of the Ministry of Health’s strategy to ensure high-quality services, easy access, and sustainable blood supply for all citizens and residents.
Concluding his remarks, AlJalajel affirmed that, with the support of the wise leadership, the Ministry of Health continues to adopt global best practices in blood supply management and national initiatives, contributing to a healthier, more aware, and giving society.
