The Minister of Health and Chairman of the Saudi Health Council, H.E. Fahad Abdulrahman AlJalajel, honored the healthcare entities that participated in the 1446 AH Hajj season. The ceremony, organized by the Ministry of Health and the Saudi Health Council, was held today in Riyadh, with the attendance of health sector leaders and representatives from partnering governmental, private, and non-profit entities involved in the Hajj operations.
This recognition reflects appreciation for the efforts made by these entities in providing integrated healthcare services to pilgrims, which contributed to enhanced response efficiency and improved healthcare quality—aligned with the goals of the Health Sector Transformation and Pilgrim Experience Programs under Saudi Vision 2030.
AlJalajel emphasized that the success of this Hajj season was made possible, through the unlimited support of the wise leadership and its unwavering commitment to the health and safety of pilgrims. He extended his gratitude to the Supreme Hajj Committee, the Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites, and all partners in the health system.
He also praised the collaborative efforts of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority, the Public Health Authority (Weqaya), military medical services, the Civil Defense, and private and non-profit partners for their dedicated work and effective coordination that contributed to achieving the health objectives of the season.
He added: “Thanks to early planning and a strong spirit of teamwork, we provided over 600,000 healthcare services, activated the Virtual Health Hospital network for specialized consultations, and utilized artificial intelligence to monitor health conditions proactively, in addition to deploying drones for medical supply deliveries.”
The event included the presentation of honorary shields to members of the Saudi Health Council and the participating entities, in recognition of their continued contributions. The honoring reflects the institutional commitment of the health system to empower all sectors and foster national partnerships that elevate the quality of preventive and therapeutic services provided to the guests of Allah.
