The Saudi healthcare system has delivered over 147,000 healthcare services to pilgrims since the beginning of the 1446H Hajj season up to the 11th of Dhul-Hijjah. This comes as part of ongoing efforts to enhance the quality and efficiency of healthcare services, in alignment with the objectives of the “Health Sector Transformation Program" and the “Pilgrim Experience Program," both of which are key pillars of Saudi Vision 2030.
According to official health data, more than 80,603 pilgrims benefited from services at healthcare centers, while 35,176 emergency cases were received, and 7,541 outpatient visits were recorded. Additionally, 5,619 patients were admitted to hospitals, including 2,626 cases in intensive care units. The health system also performed 248 cardiac catheterizations and 18 open-heart surgeries.
The Ministry of Health continues to intensify its efforts, leveraging advanced medical technologies and specialized personnel to ensure a safe and healthy environment that enables pilgrims to perform their rituals with ease and reassurance.
