With a bold vision for the future of biotechnology, Saudi Arabia has kicked off its participation at BIO 2025 — the world's leading biotech convention — unveiling a dynamic national pavilion led by the Ministry of Health and featuring over 25 government, private, and research entities. This major international appearance underscores the Kingdom's drive to accelerate biotech innovation and attract global investment, in line with the National Biotechnology Strategy launched by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince.
Heading the Saudi delegation is H.E. Eng. Abdulaziz bin Hamad Al-Rumaih, Deputy Minister of Health for Planning and Development, who emphasized the Kingdom's commitment to fostering international collaboration and establishing Saudi Arabia as a regional powerhouse in biotechnology.
The pavilion puts the spotlight on groundbreaking national initiatives, emerging research capabilities, and strategic investment opportunities across the biotech landscape. These efforts aim to elevate the quality of healthcare, support clinical research, and power innovation, all while advancing the goals of the Health Sector Transformation Program, a key pillar of Saudi Vision 2030.
BIO 2025, held in Boston from June 16 to 19, brings together thousands of global biotech leaders, innovators, and investors. Saudi Arabia's presence signals a clear message: the Kingdom is open for innovation, ready for partnerships, and determined to lead the region into a new era of biotech-driven growth.
