The Saudi Minister of Health, H.E. Fahad Abdulrahman AlJalajel, held a meeting in Riyadh with Professor Orazio Schillaci, Minister of Health of Italy, to discuss avenues for expanding collaboration in the healthcare sector.
The two ministers explored opportunities to strengthen bilateral cooperation, exchanging perspectives on key health-related issues of mutual interest. They reaffirmed the strong and enduring ties between Saudi Arabia and Italy, highlighting the crucial role of the Strategic Partnership Council in advancing collaboration across multiple sectors, with a particular focus on healthcare.
As part of the visit, the Italian Minister toured the Command and Control Center and the Seha Virtual Hospital. He commended the Kingdom's achievements in digital health and the hospital's cutting-edge technological capabilities, noting its broad impact and reach.
Both parties stressed the significance of knowledge exchange, joint research, innovation, and the adoption of advanced healthcare technologies. They also emphasized the importance of unified efforts to bolster global health security and enhance preparedness for future health challenges.
