The Saudi Ministry of Health has officially opened registration for the fifth edition of its flagship community health initiative, Walk 30. The event is set to take place on Saturday, April 26, in various cities and regions nationwide.
As one of the largest public health events in the country, Walk 30 aims to foster a culture of walking as a simple yet powerful daily habit. The initiative encourages citizens and residents alike to commit to at least 150 minutes of walking per week, a globally recommended target for reducing the risk of chronic diseases and enhancing both physical and mental well-being.
Participation is open to all, and those interested are invited to register via the
official website.
“Walk 30” is a cornerstone of the Ministry’s broader public health strategy and aligns with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and the Health Sector Transformation Program. These efforts aim to increase the average life expectancy in the Kingdom to 80 years, while fostering a more active, health-conscious population.
Since its launch in 2019, Walk 30 has seen continuous success, drawing widespread participation from across the Kingdom. The initiative has evolved into one of the most impactful and sustainable public health movements in the region, earning international recognition with the prestigious Kotler Award for “Best Health and Wellness Campaign.”
