The Ministry of Health confirmed that the "Walk 30" event has achieved a tangible impact in promoting community health and adopting the culture of walking as daily habit, which contributed to reducing rates of chronic diseases and raising the average life expectancy of individuals.
These efforts come in support of the goals of the Health Sector Transformation Program, which aims to reach an average life expectancy of 80 years by 2030, in line with the Kingdom's vision to build a "vibrant society" with a healthy and sustainable lifestyle.
This follows "Walk 30" winning of the Kotler Award for "Best Health and Wellness Campaign", in recognition of its prominent role in promoting community health.
The Ministry of Health continues its efforts to develop innovative solutions to motivate individuals to adopt healthy and sustainable lifestyles, which contributes to reducing rates of chronic diseases, to build an active and vibrant society.
“Walk 30” represents an extension of the Kingdom’s “Health in All Policies” approach. It is an innovative model for supporting community health and promoting healthy lifestyles. The use of modern technology in health activities also reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to adopting innovation and developing sustainable solutions to improve the quality of life in the long term.
The event achieved broad community participation, targeting all age groups, which contributed to raising awareness of the importance of physical activity as a means of improving public health, preventing chronic diseases, and promoting mental and physical health.
