The Ministry of Health was honored as an advanced entity according to National Data Index "NDI" in its first edition 2023/2024, issued by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority "SDAIA".
The "NDI" Index, which was developed by "SDAIA", measures the progress of civil government entities in the maturity of data management practices, compliance with the controls and specifications of national data management and operational excellence, and contains three main components: "Measuring Operational Excellence", which measures the level of progress of the entity in terms of benefiting from national data platforms by evaluating automated processes and operational mechanisms in 6 areas of data management, and "Measuring Maturity to Apply Data Management Practices", which in turn measures the extent to which government entities apply best practices in (14) areas of data management, in addition to "Measuring Compliance", which measures the extent to which entities commit to adopting and applying the controls and specifications of national data management, governance and protection of personal data issued by the National Data Management Office (NDMO).
This achievement comes as a confirmation of the efforts made by the Ministry of Health, and its endeavor to achieve the goals of the Health Sector Transformation Program, within the framework of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, by enhancing the quality and efficiency of health services, and applying best practices to achieve a vibrant society whose members enjoy a healthy life.
