424 Requests for EOI from 200 Local and International Companies in 21 Countries for 3 Projects announced by MOH in Cooperati

​200 local and international companies expressed their interest for long-stay, medical rehabilitation, and home care projects in Riyadh and the Eastern region, which were announced by the Ministry of Health in cooperation with the National Center for Privatization last March,  according to the partnership model between the public and private sectors in each of the second health cluster in Riyadh, and the first health cluster in the eastern region in Dammam, with the aim of improving and raising the quality of service provided to beneficiaries.

The large turnout of local and international investment in these projects emphasizes the attractive environment of the Kingdom, and enhance the role played by the National Center for Privatization in supporting partnership between the public and private sectors, to create appropriate opportunities for local and international investment in various sectors.

In line with the growing interest in privatization projects in the Kingdom, the investment companies expressed their interest in these three projects within a short period of their announcement, where the number of requests for expression of interest for projects reached 424 applications from 200 companies and 21 different countries, included companies from the continents of Asia, Europe, America and Australia. Saudi companies represented the majority in expressing interest along with about 70% of the number of companies that submitted their EOI.

In addition, 139 companies from 16 countries, including: Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Portugal, Italy, St. Louis, Turkey, India, South Korea, Singapore, Thailand and Australia, expressed their interest in the first project that includes the design of (medical and non-medical) and developing, financing, maintaining and operating long-stay hospitals with a capacity of 200 beds, and nursing care centers with a capacity of 100 beds (for each health cluster).

Besides, 131 companies from 17 countries, including: Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Italy, Switzerland, Portugal, Germany, Turkey, India, South Korea, Singapore, Thailand, and Australia, applied for the second project. Which includes the design (medical and non-medical), development, financing, maintenance, and operation of medical rehabilitation hospitals with a capacity of 150 beds and 120,000 outpatient treatment sessions (for each health cluster).

The third project was home healthcare, in the form of a contract for the provision of medical services, for 5,000 active patients (for each health cluster) to which 154 companies from 14 countries submitted their EOI, including: Saudi Arabia, the Emirates, Bahrain, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Portugal, Italy, France, Turkey, India, South Korea, Thailand, and Australia.
