According to Taif Health Affairs, over the first half of this year, the Cardiac Catheterization Unit of King Abdulaziz Specialist Hospital (KASH) has performed 998 catheterizations and 10 open-heart surgeries.
It pointed out that the Cardiac Catheterization Unit features a number of distinguished physicians in heart diseases and surgery, and enhanced with cutting-edge equipment. The center provides integrated, high-quality medical services for cardiac patients, and contributes to reducing patient referrals to hospitals outside the governorate.
It added that, during the same period, 8,286 patients have benefited from the center’s services in various specialties including internal cardiology, pediatrics, cardiac surgery, ultrasound, voltammetry, and ECG clinics.
