According to the Ministry of Health (MOH), a monkeypox case has been detected today (Thursday) in Riyadh for a person returning from outside the Kingdom. “The case is now under medical observation, in accordance with the adopted health measures, in addition to developing a list of persons, who had been in contact with the patient and still did not show symptoms, all praise is due to Allah”, stated MOH.
MOH has underlined its continuity of monitoring and following up the developments of the disease, and it will announce any cases detected, may allah forbid, in full transparency, highlighting its readiness to deal with any development of the disease. MOH has called upon all people to comply with health guidelines, especially during travel, through its official channels, the Public Health Authority «Weqaya», as well as contacting 937 Call Center for any inquiries about the disease.
