Al-Jalajel Inspects Readiness of Holy Sites’ Health Facilities

His Excellency the Minister of Health, Eng. Fahd bin Abdul Rahman Al-Jalajel, has commended the great interest and keenness of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, May Allah protect them, to provide the best health care to pilgrims and maintain their health and safety.
Al-Jalajel has underlined that the Ministry of Health (MOH) will continue to provide pilgrims with its preventive, therapeutic and ambulatory services at affiliated hospitals and healthcare centers in the holy sites, Makkah, and Madinah, highlighting that the preventive plan for this year’s Hajj season includes precautionary measures, epidemiological surveillance procedures, in addition to response to communicable diseases of epidemiological features.
This came after his inspection tour today to Makkah and holy sites’ hospitals that included East Arafat Hospital, Jabal Al-Rahma Hospital, Namira Hospital, Arafat healthcare centers, Mina Al-Wadi Hospital, Mina Al-Jisr Hospital, Emergency Hospital, Mina healthcare centers, Mina Al-Share'a Al-Jadeed Hospital, in addition to King Abdullah Medical City.
Within the same vein, Al-Jalajel has visited the Department of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority - Makkah Branch, where he has been briefed on all medical preparations and equipment, and inspected the integrity and readiness of these facilities to serve pilgrims. Furthermore, he has visited the command and control room of the holy sites hospitals, which features large screens to show hospitals' cases, ambulance locations, and medical evacuation landing sites 24/7.
It is worth mentioning that MOH has prepared 25 hospitals and 156 health centers in Makkah, Madinah, and holy sites for this year’s Hajj season, increased their bed capacity to 5,000 beds, enhanced them with qualified health practitioners, and set up medical points on Al-Mashaer Train and Al-Haramain Train. Besides, MOH efforts have been intensified in Al-Haram central area in Makkah, 180 ambulances have been equipped, and 17 emergency centers have been prepared on Jamarat Bridge in Mina.
