The First Conference for Home Healthcare and Geriatric Medicine concluded its activities in Riyadh. The conference, which was organized by the Ministry of Health’s (MOH) General Department for Home Healthcare in collaboration with the Saudi Geriatric Society, reviewed the services provided for the elderly and exchange of expertise in the field through scientific sessions and workshops. The conference, which was held under the theme “Together for Seniors Friendly Home Care”, also reviewed the latest developments in the field of home healthcare and geriatric medicine, with the participation of a number of researchers and specialists. Also, a workshop was held for the beneficiaries to know their views on the services provided to them.
It is noteworthy that the MOH’s home healthcare, over the past year, has served 40,384 beneficiaries through 884,354 home visits across the Kingdom regions.
