Al-Ahsa Health Cluster continues activation of the virtual clinics initiative at hospitals and healthcare centers, benefiting 36,000 patients since the service was launched.
The virtual clinics' service was activated in 7 hospitals, including King Fahad Hospital- Hofuf, King Faisal General Hospital, Prince Saud bin Jalawi Hospital, Al-Jabr Eye and ENT Hospital, Maternity, and Children Hospital, Al-Omran General Hospital, Mental Hospital, as well as Prince Sultan Cardiac Center, Endocrine Glands and Diabetes Center and Al-Jabr Kidney Center. The initiative also included 42 healthcare centers specialized in family medicine, it added.
The Cluster pointed out that the initiative featured 48 specialties and health services and the higher turnout was seen at the virtual clinics of dermatology, family medicine, home care, children, and health education.
It is to be noted that the virtual clinics initiative allows direct contact between doctor and patients through SMS messages and telephone call during which the doctor checks the patient health and help him get the appropriate service at the right place and follow-up appointment at the virtual clinics, as well as providing him with the required treatment, if needed and answering his inquiries.
