97,000+ Women Screened during Breast Cancer Early Detection Campaign in Najran

According to Najran Health Affairs, the breast cancer early detection campaign, held last month (October) under the theme: (#وين_كنت_وين_صرت), which means (#Your-situation-before-and-now), benefited 97,777 ladies, including 1,332 ladies screened with mammography at hospitals and healthcare centers in the region. The campaign was implemented under the supervision of specialized medical teams and health educators from different health sectors in the region. These teams worked to introduce the disease, its prevention methods, and breast self-examination (BSE).

It pointed out that 6 clinics for early detection of breast cancer utilizing mammography have been allocated at King Khaled Hospital, new Najran General Hospital, Maternity and Children Hospital, Hubuna General Hospital and Sharurah General Hospital, as well as a specialized clinic at the healthcare center of Dubbat (Officers) Neighborhood.

The campaign also included an awareness exhibition at the Royal Center, in addition to a mobile screening clinic, targeting public sites and parks. In addition, accompanying events were launched at public and private hospitals and primary healthcare centers in the region, as well as organizing awareness corners at commercial centers, schools and colleges for girls.
