The Eastern Region Health Affairs has organized awareness events for its staff and visitors celebrating the World Osteoporosis Day, under the theme “Love your Bones”, benefiting 1,200 people. One of these events was an exhibition, which included seven education booths such as nursing, nutrition, pharmacy, radiology, patients’ safety, the elderly and medical consultation booth.
According to the Affairs, the events aims at raising the awareness of community members about osteoporosis risk factors, briefing them on prevention methods and fractures resulting from it and emphasizing the importance of early detection of osteoporosis.
