According to Qassim Health Affairs, over the 3rd quarter of this year, the Regional Poison Control Center in the region has conducted 11,211 laboratory tests. The center received 2,042 requests benefiting 89 government agencies and hospitals, private labs and companies.
It is noteworthy that Qassim Health Affairs is the first to link the center to all public and private agencies through the Poison Control E-System (Awtar), which provides many services including poisoning first aid analysis, blood medications control service for chronic diseases, forensic medicine and poison samples testing and pre-employment screening. The Awtar Platform aims to sending and receiving all requests and transactions electronically to facilitate and speed up the beneficiaries’ transactions.
