1,060 Cardiac Catheterizations and Heart Surgeries Performed by Cardiac Center-Al-Jouf in 6 Months

According to Al-Jouf Health Affairs, over the first half of this year, the medical team of the Cardiac Center has performed 1,060 cardiac catheterizations and heart surgeries, as well as 135 emergency cardiac catheterizations. Also, it has provided its services to 7,326 cases including 676 for children, during the same period, it added.
For the first time, the center has successfully performed a cardioscopy for diagnostic purposes for a female patient and developed of a treatment plan to do balloon dilatation catheter of the valve instead of open-heart surgery.
Such a step comes in the continuation of the development of the center which has been enhanced with a number of equipment and cadres to provide quality services and reduce referrals outside the region.
