2nd Vaccine Dose Is Key Against COVID-19 Mutations, MOH Says

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has underlined that the second dose of COVID-19 vaccine is important for the sustainability of immunity and protection against the virus mutations, calling on all people to take the two doses of the vaccine to raise protection against severe infection with the mutations.

According to MOH's latest statistics, 546 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in the Kingdom over the past 24 hours; thus bringing the total number to 540,244 confirmed cases, including 6,246 active cases and 1,273 critical cases.

In addition, 794 new recoveries have been recorded, bringing the total number to 525,559 recoveries. Also, 8 new deaths have been reported; bringing the total deaths to 8,439, May Allah bestow His mercy upon them. 

MOH has also advised everyone to contact 937-Service Center for any consultation and inquiries around the clock, obtaining reliable health information and services, as well as knowing the latest development of COVID-19.
