According to Najran Health Affairs, over the first half of this year, radiology departments of Najran hospitals have served 180,000 patients, with 123,555 X-ray images (by mobile and fixed devices), 7,313 MRI scans, 20,441 CT scans, 28,139 ultrasound (Sonography) scans, in addition to 552 mammogram images.
It is worth mentioning that Najran Health Affairs has recently launched Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) at radiology department of King Khalid Hospital; to electronically link it with Sharurah General Hospital, Maternity and Children Hospital, and Khabash Hospital, in addition to seven healthcare centers. This e-link aims to follow up and archive radiological images, exchange medical consultations between physicians, and prepare medical reports; to serve patients efficiently and quickly.
