According to Najran Health Affairs, during the first quarter of the current year, 644 surgeries were conducted at King Khaled Hospital, Maternity and Children Hospital, Najran General Hospital, and Sharurah General Hospital. The surgeries included 21 robotic surgeries, and various surgeries, mainly in the following specialties: congenital and morphological defects of the heart, blood diseases, obstetrics and gynecology, kidney and urology surgery, sports injuries, pediatric dental surgeries, general surgeries, and pediatric thoracic surgeries. It revealed that pediatric urology surgeries are provided for the first time in the region; thus contributing to reducing referrals to health facilities outside the region and providing medical care to a large number of children.
During the same period, 1,900 medical consultations have been provided in delicate specialties such as diabetic foot surgery, thoracic surgery, in addition to eye and neurosurgery (children), psychiatry, and developmental disorders, it added.
