The Ministry of Health (MOH) has confirmed that the vaccines approved in the Kingdom are safe and effective to prevent the infection with the virus and its complications, highlighting that these vaccines are approved by competent authorities after meeting the highest safety and security standards, as well as achieving the high level of effectiveness and safety.
It underlined the importance of adhering to precautionary measures, including wearing face masks, maintaining physical distancing, sterilizing hands, and avoiding shaking hands; to prevent the spread of the virus and to maintain the health and safety of everyone.
According to MOH's latest statistics, 1,016 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the Kingdom; thus bringing the total number to 422,316 confirmed cases, including 9,691 active cases and 1,346critical cases.
In addition, 900 new recoveries have been recorded, bringing the total number to 405,607 recoveries. Also, 12 new deaths have been reported; bringing the total deaths to 7,006, May Allah bestow His mercy upon them. Moreover, 68,997 new Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) tests for COVID-19 have been conducted in the Kingdom's laboratories.
