According to Riyadh Health Affairs, over the past year, the social service departments have carried out 34,138 social interventions. These interventions have contributed to the efforts exerted to confront the Coronavirus pandemic through the «We Are with You» initiative to provide social and psychological support, benefiting 3,329 cases.
It pointed out that the social service departments at the public and private health facilities play a vital role in the treatment process for being a direct link between the treatment team and patients’ families.
They also provide direct service to patients to ensure facilitating the implementation of the treatment plan and to overcoming any obstacles that may limit patient’s cooperation.
