Prince Sultan Cardiac Center- Qassim has performed 130 aortic valve replacement surgeries for adults since the interventional catheterization procedure was introduced in the center.
During the past year, the center has performed 29 transcatheter aortic valve replacements (TAVR), which is considered one of the most advanced procedures to treat the aortic valve stenosis caused by valve calcification without the need for open-heart surgery.
