Over 3,700 Home Visits Conducted to Patients in Jazan

​Jazan Health Affairs said that the number of home visits conducted by the medical team at King Fahd Central Hospital within the Home Healthcare Program reached 3,775, from early January until late October. All preventive measures were taken during the novel Coronavirus pandemic. The medical team consists of a doctor, a nurse, a physiotherapist, and respiratory care and social service specialists.​

The Home Care Section received 97 new cases. 2608 of the visits were actual visits, 128 were remote visits, and 942 were made via calls. In addition, medical devices were provided to patients, including 62 electric medical beds, 62 air mattresses, 10 electronic blood pressure devices, 13 liquid suction devices, 11 oxygen generators, 14 blood oxygen monitors, 6 steam devices, 24 wheelchairs, 10 toilet chairs, 4 glucose monitors, 14 oxygen cylinders, 12 steamers, and 2 electric chairs. The program has also provided medical care to patients, including wound dressing change, physical therapy, blood pressure and sugar monitoring, feeding tubes and urinary catheters change, and lab tests. 

The Home Healthcare Program is based on a set of medical activities and services (curative, preventive, rehabilitative, educational, and social). These services are provided to certain categories of patients among their families and relatives at the comfort of their homes, by a qualified medical team, according to specific criteria and working mechanism.
