Al-Jouf Health Affairs Holds a 3-Day Health Festival of Breast Cancer Early Detection

Al-Jouf Health Affairs has held a 3-day health festival under the title: «The Pink Way» at Al-Nikhil Park in Sakaka. The festival come as part of the Affairs’ health awareness efforts in October to urge women for breast cancer screening and early detection.


“The festival featured many activities and awareness corners, including a breast cancer consultation clinic, an awareness corner about the importance of breast cancer screening early detection, an awareness corner about the laboratory role in breast cancer screening, an educational corner about the role of radiology in early detection, and an educational corner to highlight the importance of seasonal influenza vaccination, where visitors can be vaccinated as well. The festival also included a corner to raise awareness about COVID-19 spread prevention, a blood donation campaign, in addition to organizing a number of field tours through the festival, educating visitors of the park, and offering gifts and educational posters to them,” stated the Affairs.

It is noted that breast cancer screening clinics in the region are available at Prince Mutaib bin Abdulaziz Hospital- Sakaka, Domat Al Jandal General Hospital, and Tabarjal General Hospital.
