Riyadh: Stroke, Diabetes and Eye Clinics and Units Activated at 16 Hospitals

​Riyadh Health Affairs has launched several specialized medical units and programs with the aim of improving service quality, reducing waiting time, improving patient experience and spending efficiency and increasing capacity. In this regard, stroke tracks have been established at 6 hospitals across the region, as well as trial run for 4 eye units in the following hospitals: King Khaled Hospital- Al-Kharj, King Khaled Hospital- Al-Majmaa, Ad Dawadmi General Hospital and Shaqraa General Hospital. Also, diabetes clinics have been activated in 6 hospitals as follows: King Khaled Hospital- Al-Kharj, Al-Quway'iyah General Hospital, Shaqraa General Hospital, Wadi ad-Dawasir and Al-Artawiyah Hospital, and Dhurma General Hospital.


The Affairs has also activated kidney centers in different hospitals, inaugurated the first stage of Prince Sultan Cardiac Center- Al-Kharj, the new building of kidney center at Al-Rewaidha Al-Ardh Hospital. Also, the work is underway to support the endoscopic surgery and knee and joint replacement programs at King Khaled Hospitals in Al-Kharj and Al-Majmaa with the necessary supplies. Moreover, the development and behavioral program and genetic blood diseases program at the Maternity and Children Hospital- Al-Kharj have been fully supported with temporary employment contracts, as well as activating the hospital’s obesity unit.
