According to Jazan Health Affairs, since July, the surgical team at Bariatric Center of King Fahd Central Hospital has performed more than 200 successful laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (LSG) surgeries for morbid obesity treatment without any complications, all praise is due to Allah.
“The Center features two clinics and an operating theater equipped with cutting-edge technologies for bariatric surgery, serving 200 to 250 patients monthly. Also, the Center implements the adopted global standards, in terms of age, body mass, and all what related to bariatric surgery,” stated the Affairs.
The affairs added that the Center is enhanced with a consultant bariatric surgeon and specialists in general surgery, in addition to all supportive specialties, including clinical nutrition, interventional radiology, endoscopy unit, endocrinology, cardiology, respiratory system, psychological specialist, in addition to a psychiatrist. The process of patients’ referral to and admittance at the Bariatric Center is done in coordination with outpatient clinics of peripheral hospitals; to refer obese patients to such two specialized clinics at King Fahd Central Hospital.
