According to Madinah Health Affairs, over the past year (2019), King Fahd Hospital provided its integrated medical services to 465,768 patients, with 147,898 emergencies, 136,522 outpatients, and 54,885 rehabilitation cases. “Also, the Hospital performed 4,854 surgeries, 855 one-day operations, 137,370 radiology examinations, and 2,028,877 lab tests, as well as dispensing 512,575 prescriptions,” stated the Affairs.
The Affairs added: “The hospital’s affiliated healthcare centers provided their health services to beneficiaries according to specialties: as King Abdulaziz Dialysis Center performed 39,112 dialysis sessions, while Diabetes and Endocrinology Center served 53,368 outpatients, Specialist Dental Center served 76,817 beneficiaries, Hematology and Oncology Unit served 5,734 patients, in addition to 6,315 home medical visits paid for patients enrolled in Home Medicine Program”.
