Over 600 Quit Smoking in Najran

​According to Najran Health Affairs, over the past year, the anti-smoking clinics at hospitals and healthcare centers have received 1,833 outpatients and provided them with therapeutic and educational services about smoking harms, and have helped 661 of them quit smoking, at a rate of 47.6%. The Affairs has implemented an awreness program entitled "Our Generation is Conscious" with the aim of reducing the spread of tobacco among school students and raising awareness on the harmful effects of smoking. The campaign is implemented by the Ministry of Health (MOH) in cooperation with the Ministry of Education. The program also aims to cooperate with Najran University to combat tobacco use. 

Also, qualified medical staff of the mobile clinics briefed the visitors on the role of the national anti-smoking committee and tobacco control regulations, as well as the health risks associated with tobacco use, at malls, public places and parks under the theme: "Our Goal is Quitting".
