The Regional Laboratory and Central Blood Bank-Madinah has obtained the accreditation of the Saudi Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI) for 2019, after meeting the accreditation standards of quality and patient safety.
This accreditation comes as part of MOH’s efforts and keenness to invest all available capabilities to improve the health services of its facilities, as well as controlling infection outbreaks. Also, this accreditation is an important step for the laboratory and blood bank with its employees to provide a high-quality health services; in an endeavor to achieve the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, in terms of improving the healthcare system and raising its efficiency and quality.
It is worth mentioning that the Regional Laboratory performs reference diagnostic tests, and the Central Blood Bank provides blood units to Madinah hospitals.
