Health Minister Patronizes International Conference for Disaster Medicine

​The Health Minster, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al Rabiah will patronize tomorrow (Monday) the activities of  the International Conference for Disaster Medicine, which is organized by MOH under the theme «Towards all Hazards Approach Emergency Preparedness and Response», at Al Faisaliyah Hotel, Riyadh, from October 13th-14th, 2019.

According to MOH, the conference will discuss a number of topics, including emergency preparedness, risk assessment, field medicine and pre-hospital care in disaster situations, emergency response, response teams and medical countermeasures, education, training and research in disaster medicine. It added that a number of workshops related to disaster medicine and crisis management will be held on the sidelines of the conference, mainly: interviewing experts in disaster medicine, leadership system, basic disaster life support, and risk communication, as well as Saudi medical emergency team. 

The conference, which will be attended by a number of experts and specialists from inside and outside the Kingdom, aims to establish an excellence platform to exchange knowledge and experience in all topics related to disaster medicine, crisis management, to foster innovation, insights, and research and collaboration in this field.

It is to be noted that the conference is accredited by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS), with 20 Continuing Medical Education (CME) hours.
