Asir Health Affairs has successfully activated a quality initiative to reduce waiting lists for surgeries in the health facilities of reference hospitals, through twinning with Asir Central hospital, Ahad Rafidah Hospital, Khamis Mushayt Hospital and Abha Maternity and Children Hospital. It also includes reducing waiting lists for outpatient clinics, not to exceed 21 days.
Also, the Affairs has increased the bed capacity of the neonatal department at Khamis Mushayt Maternity and Children Hospital from 30 to 59 beds, and at Abha Maternity and Children Hospital's pediatric ICU from 16 to 25 beds.
