Al-Rabiah Inspects Makkah and Holy Sites Hospitals

H.E. the Minister of Health, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, has today inspected Makkah and holy sits hospitals, starting with King Abdullah Medical City, where he was briefed on the ongoing preparations for serving the guests of Allah. Then, he toured East Arafat Hospital, Jabal Al-Rahmah Hospital, healthcare centers in Arafat, and Mina Al-Wadi Hospital.​

During his inspection tour, he has inaugurated the new expansion of the emergency section at Mina Emergency Hospital; thus increasing its bed capacity from 12 to 21 cutting-edge beds, and the bed capacity of the cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) section from 4 to 6 cutting-edge beds. Also, he has been briefed on hospitals' preparations and readiness to receive pilgrims and on current developments. His tour included a number of specialized sections.

Furthermore, he has visited the command and control room of the holy sites hospitals, which features large screens to show hospitals' cases, ambulance locations, and medical evacuation landing sites 24/7. 

It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Health (MOH) has intensified its efforts and readiness of its facilities to provide the health care for the guests of Allah during this year's Hajj season. Besides, MOH has prepared a number of hospitals and healthcare centers in Makkah, holy sites and Madinah, including 25 hospitals and 156 healthcare centers with a 5,000-bed capacity. More than 25,000 health practitioners are participating in serving the pilgrims. Also, MOH has equipped 180 ambulances and 17 emergency centers at Al-Jamrat Bridge.
