Northern Borders Governor Inaugurates Health Projects

​​The Northern Borders Governor His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Khaled bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, in the presence of the Health Minister Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al Rabiah, has inaugurated Al-Aziziyah Healthcare Center Development Project and Saudi Board Center, which includes 15 clinics with a total area of 1,365 square meters. ​

After touring the center, he met with the medical and administrative staff and got acquainted on the development of the work environment at a total cost of SR 3 million. Then, he inaugurated work environment development project at the maternity and children hospital and was briefed on the work progress, which cost SR 10 million. 

Then, he partially opened outpatient clinics medical tower, which includes service, renal dialysis and medical supply building. The five-storey building includes ambulatory, emergency, laboratory, radiology services and a storey for surgical operations, as well as a recovery, endoscopy, central sterilization rooms, ICU, burn and one-day surgery section, cardiology and catheterization center and in-patient sections.

After that he toured the medical tower's sections and was briefed by the Health Minister on the main services provided by the 300-bed medical tower. At a cost of SR 375 million and an area of 18,000 square meters, the tower serves all region's citizens. Then, he attended a celebration on this occasion. There, the present and future projects in the region were reviewed with the attendance of a number of government agency directors and citizens.  

Prince Faisal stressed the importance of monitoring services, harnessing all potentials to provide health services to citizens across the region. He underlined the ongoing support to the health sector rendered by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince - may Allah protect them. He said, "Today, we celebrate inaugurating these vital specialized projects in the Northern Borders, which stresses our righteous leadership’s interest in the health sector." He also highlighted Dr. Al-Rabiah's role and attention to health development across the Kingdom.

He expressed his appreciation of the achievements which draw a prosperous future and clearly reflect MOH's great endeavors and developmental services in line with the Saudi Vision 2030 ​. 

For his part, Dr. Al Rabiah extended his thanks to His Royal Highness the Northern Borders Governor for his follow up, support, field visit and ongoing attention to all health services details. He also pointed out that there would be big expansions and extensive projects which will effectively contribute to the development of health services.
