Jeddah: 42,000+ Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Sessions at King Abdullah Medical Complex

​According to Jeddah Health Affairs, the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Department of King Abdullah Medical Complex, over the past eight months, conducted 42,991 physiotherapy and medical rehabilitation sessions and treated 15,943 cases with speech and hearing disorders. ​

The department, since more than a year, is witnessing developmental works including expansion of the therapeutic exercise room, which has become the biggest of its kind at MOH's hospitals. It is enhanced with cutting-edge equipment (30 equipment), and introduced a new service for treating speech and hearing disorders, adds the Affairs. 

The department is enhanced with a highly qualified medical and technical staff (men and women) specialized in treating and rehabilitating spinal injuries, neurological diseases and stroke, as well as rehabilitating gynecology and women's health, traffic injuries and fractures, open heart surgeries and sports injuries. Also, as part of its engagement in community voluntary works, the department has activated "Why Not" initiative, which was approved by H.E the Health Minister, to promote the public health among community members. In addition, the department provides advanced and outstanding training in the field of physiotherapy and rehabilitation for trainees from all Kingdom's universities.
