Jazan: PALS Course Held at King Fahad Central Hospital

According to Jazan Health Affairs, King Fahad Central Hospital has held a course of Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), targeting PICU physicians and nurses in the region’s hospitals. The course aims at providing participants with the knowledge and skills required for providing pediatric urgent care and diagnosing such care rather than stroke, as well as treating it.


The Affairs added that this course is the first of its kind in the region and was attended by a specialized team from the American Heart Association (AHA) to evaluate the training center of King Fahad Central Hospital that will be accredited to offer such training courses after meeting terms and conditions. The Affairs also pointed out that this course was held in line with the quality standards and requirements of the Saudi Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI), and in implementation of His Excellency the Minister of Health’s resolution, instructing health practitioners to obtain courses of Life Support Programs (LSP).
