As part of its activation of the World Food Day events, the Ministry of Health (MOH) participated in the exhibition accompanying the 7th Saudi Conference for Food and Nutrition, with an awareness pavilion. The conference, which is organized by the Saudi Society for Food and Nutrition, was held yesterday in Riyadh, under the theme "Food Safety". The pavilion featured 4 interactive sections for specialists and visitors of the conference, namely: nutrition awareness and education section, food safety and quality section, therapeutic feeding section and nutrition culture contest interaction section. It also featured BMI measurement (fluid, fat, muscle, weight), visual awareness presentations, awareness supplies, therapeutic and preventive nutrition counseling from food specialists and participants in the exhibition.
In the same vein, MOH continues its effective role in promoting health and preventive programs where nutrition education is considered the best way to prevent malnutrition diseases, to combat food-related diseases, to identify healthy nutrition basics and balanced healthy food and how to identify the daily needs of different food elements, through the Saudi Nutrition Directory "Healthy Nutrition Palm", as well as ways to prepare healthy foods and clear understanding of food's components and elements.
The conference will discuss the latest developments in the food safety and security sciences with the participation of an elite of local and international speakers specialized in the food safety.
