Riyadh Health Affairs has accepted 49 physicians in the family medicine fellowship program for next year, while 7 physicians will be graduated this year.
The Affairs has 10 training centers specialized in the family medicine fellowship program with the aim of qualifying the physicians to provide health services through the primary healthcare centers and participating in the public health program in collaboration with the centers and sectors affairs department to implement the following programs: school health, smoking control, health promotion and education programs.
According to the Affairs, during this year, 2 training courses in home medicine fellowship program were implemented at the primary healthcare centers, 30 physicians in each course. The programs aims to upgrade the family medicine in line with the Ministry of Health's (MOH) strategic plan in the field, to provide integrated health services in accordance with the latest primary healthcare standards and a clear path and to improve integration and continuity of the provided healthcare services.
It is noted that after completing the 4 years family medicine fellowship program, trainees will be graduated as family medicine specialists.
