MOH Checks on Readiness of Madinah Health Facilities

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has paid a field visit to Madinah health facilities, to check on their readiness to receive pilgrims, and to discuss the needs of the region during the coming period and MOH’s Transformation Plan. The tour featured the Laboratory Department, the Regional Laboratory and Central Blood Bank, the Central Tuberculosis Laboratory (CTBL), and Toxicology and Forensic Chemistry Center, to check on the work progress, achievements during last period, the Automatic Laboratory Project, Blood Bank Section, in addition to Flow Cytometry.

Also, the tour included Maternity and Children Hospital, the new Automatic Laboratory and the Blood Bank, as well as laying the foundation stone of the Automatic Laboratory and Blood Bank Department in Madinah Specialist Hospital, as this project will start at the beginning of Dhul-Hijjah. Furthermore, MOH visited the Reference Laboratory and the Public Health Laboratory. Finally, MOH’s leaders have praised and congratulated the staff of seven laboratories in Madinah, for obtaining a high score in the External Quality Assessment (EQA) Program.
