Al-Baha Breast Cancer Campaign Targets 4,473 Ladies

According to Al-Baha Health Affairs, the breast cancer early screening campaign, since its launch two weeks ago, has attracted great interaction, with about 4,473 ladies engaged with the awareness campaign. 3D mammography screening appliances are available at the region's hospitals, with 47 ladies examined with the new technology at King Fahad Hospital and 30 at Prince Meshari Hospital- Baljurashi Province. Mammography screening contributes to 95% early treatment of breast cancer, Allah willing. The early screening is so essential for women at the age of 40 and above.
 
Al-Baha Health Affairs has designated screening clinics at hospitals and primary healthcare centers, under the supervision of specialized medical staff, as well as visiting colleges and schools to educate students about prevention methods to avoid breast cancer and to encourage them to have early screening.
 
The Ministry of Health (MOH) shares the international community' concern by awareness activities on Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2017. MOH has launched "Continue with Your Heroics" campaign across the Kingdom, including various awareness activities and events through social media and trade centers.
