Al-Jouf Health Affairs: One Million Patients Served by Healthcare Centers in 1438H

According to recent statistical data disseminated by Al-Jouf  Health Affairs on healthcare centers in 1438H., the general clinics received 983,142 patients. Al-Jouf healthcare centers (totaling 46) are distributed across five sectors, namely: Northern Sakaka, Southern Sakaka, Domat Al Jandal, Tabarjal and Suwair Sectors.

The healthcare centers are currently witnessing remarkable development in their health services, in terms of inaugurating a number of departments, activating health education clinics, observing health weeks periodically, and organizing awareness exhibitions in collaboration with stakeholders, as well as paying field visits to different sectors, such as schools and public institutions. Also, a number of centers carried out developmental projects for work environment. For example, some centers established children's parks in their courtyards, while others opened health clubs for residents of the district, in addition to the centers’ primary healthcare services, chronic diseases clinics and periodic vaccinations.

It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Health (MOH) is currently implementing MOH's Performance Program, which aims to boost productivity, performance quality and efficiency of health services in hospitals. The program is in line with the strategic objectives of the National Transformation Program 2020 towards achieving the Saudi Vision 2030. The program covers 70 hospitals and features over 40 indicators to measure the performance of seven key therapeutic aspects, which have positively reduced the waiting times.
