300 Outpatients Served by King Abdulaziz Specialist Hospital – Taif

​​According to Taif Health Affairs, King Abdulaziz Specialized Hospital has seen - over the past period - significant increase in outpatients, medical services and treatment, lab tests and radiological diagnostics provided. The family department stats show that outpatient clinics have served (121.971) outpatients, while gynaecology and obstetrics clinic has received (35.804) cases, in addition to (8.269) surgeries, (3.782) day surgeries, (10.102) obstetrical cases and (10.236) births.
 
In the same vein, the emergency department has received (16.5460) cases, while (28.859) patients have been hospitalized, with 77% bed occupancy rate out of 500 beds in total. The monthly bed occupancy rate has recorded 2.9/day, and 7 patients for  monthly bed turnover rate. During the same period, lab tests have shown high records with (4.378.612) tests and (118.315) radiological examinations. The physical therapy department has conducted (58.127) sessions.
 
Also, work is underway to transfer the Women’s and Maternity Hospital to its new facility at King Faisal Medical Complex, to re-establish it as a specialized, reference and teaching hospital that offers its professional health services to the public. Likewise, early launched projects to develop and update the hospital are in progress, through many completed major projects, including: obesity, andrology and male infertility units, as well as robotics lab. Moreover, patient rooms are being updated based on their service nature and quality, besides preparation to hopefully launch the new Cardiac Cath and Chemotherapy units very soon.
