AL-Jouf Cardiac Center has conducted 21 cardiac catheterization procedures within one month of starting its work. The first catheterization was conducted on Feb. 5th, 2017. The center was officially inaugurated by HRH Prince Fahad bin Badr bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Al-Jouf Region, on last Tuesday Feb. 28th, 2017. It performed 14 diagnostic cases and 7 cardiovascular stents, the procedure in which arteries are widened with the stents.
The center, which includes 3 operating rooms, hospitalization ward, ICU, special ward and a laboratory, has been equipped with the latest medical equipment and devices and a number of competencies. The work is underway to establish bilateral partnership with major cardiac centers in the Kingdom to exchange expertise and consultations, via visual communication. As part of its future plan, the center aims to become a reference center for all areas in the north.
