MOH: ‘Hospitals of the Eastern Region Receives More than 334 Thousands of Cases at Emergency Sections’

 The Ministry of Health (MOH) stated that hospitals of the Eastern Region have provided their health services for more than 334.759 cases at emergency sections of these hospitals over the first quarter of the current year (1438H). Besides, these hospitals have conducted a number of 4.954 surgeries and 3.642 deliveries, and received 243 cases at the outpatient clinics over the same period.
 
The MOH pointed out that these hospitals include Dammam Medical Complex, Qatif Central Hospital, Dammam Maternity and Children Hospital, Jubail General Hospital, Khafji General Hospital, Al-Rafie‘ah Hospital, Safwa Hospital, Ras Tanura Hospital, Malijah Hospital, and Al-Nairiyah Hospital, where the medical, technical, nursing, and administrative cadres carry out their duties, in light of the availability of such appropriate and advanced medical equipment.
 
Within the same vein, the MOH indicated that Dammam has received a 70.397 cases at its outpatient clinics and 59.334 cases at its emergency section, and conducted 1.589 surgeries over the aforementioned period, whereas Qatief Central Hospital has received 87.556 cases at its outpatient clinics and 52.228 cases at its emergency section, conducted 813 surgeries and 800 deliveries over the aforementioned period. Also, Dammam Maternity and Children Hospital has received 19.131 cases at its outpatient clinics and 64.204 cases at its emergency section, and conducted 1.634 surgeries and 2.216 deliveries, while Jubail General Hospital has received 10.686 cases at its outpatient clinics and 26.948 cases at its emergency section, and conducted 311 surgeries and 240 deliveries.
 
The MOH went on adding that, over the same period, Khafji General Hospital has received 8.873  cases at its outpatient clinics and 44.330  cases at its emergency section, and conducted 210 surgeries and 248 deliveries, while Al-Rafie‘ah Hospital has received 9.550 cases at its outpatient clinics and 4.312 cases at its emergency section, and conducted 39 surgeries and 20 deliveries, in addition to  Safwa Hospital that has received 10.552 cases at its outpatient clinics and 20.778  cases at its emergency section, and conducted 19 surgeries.
 
Finally, the MOH showed that, over the same period, Ras Tanura Hospital has received 7.672 cases at its outpatient clinics and 26.406 cases at its emergency section, and conducted 17 surgeries, while Malijah Hospital has received 5.711 cases at its outpatient clinics and 8.742 cases at its emergency section, and conducted 48 surgeries and 15 deliveries, that is to be added to Al-Nariyah Hospital that has received 12.882 cases at its outpatient clinics and 27.477 cases at its emergency section, and conducted 274 surgeries and103  deliveries.
