MOH: ‘Charitable Health Societies Are a Key Partner in the Community Health Development Processes’

The Ministry of Health (MOH) highlighted that the charitable health societies are reckoned a key partner in the community health development processes and a primary source for supporting the health work in the Kingdom.
 
This comes during the specialized workshop, which has been organized yesterday, Tuesday, by the MOH under the title: “The Reality of the Charitable Health Sector and Mechanism of Its Activation”. A number of 30 charitable health societies have participated in the workshop, in the presence of a number of MOH’s leaders. The workshop discussed a number of topics, including the constraints and challenges facing the charitable health associations and ways to overcome them, as well as the opportunities and areas of joint work between the charitable health sector and the Ministry of Health; in an endeavor to achieve the Saudi Arabia’s vision 2030. Besides, it has been agreed during the workshop to draw a work map for the outcomes of the workshop on the ground.
 
It is worth mentioning that this workshop comes as part of the initiatives of the Community Participation Program, which has recently been adopted by the MOH; with a view to creating a diverse and numerous opportunities for all strata of society to participate actively in health development over the short, medium and long term. The program also aims at encouraging them to contribute effectively to meeting the health needs of the community, through the cooperation and integration principle.
