Al-Rabiah Thanks Al-Jabr for His Oncology Center Project in Al-Ahsa

His Excellency the Minister of Health Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah discussed with Sheikh Abdul Latif Al-Jabr his project to construct an oncology center in Al-Ahsa Province at a total cost of 70 million riyals. The project is blessed by the Governor of the Eastern Region, His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz.  
 
Al-Rabih lauded the good initiative which will be of developmental and health return for the citizens of the province, expressing his thanks to the businessman for such blessed step and his contributions to many humanitarian works. Also, he directed the relevant departments at the Ministry of Health (MOH) to facilitate all required procedures and overcome the difficulties, as well as to fully cooperate to complete this important medical project which is named Hamad Al-Jabr Oncology Center in memory of late Hamad Al-Jabr, May Allah rest his soul in peace.
 
It is noteworthy that Hamad Al-Jabr Oncology Center will be constructed in Al-Ahsa in collaboration with King Fahad Specialized Hospital in Dammam and will provide integrated treatment services for patients with tumors in the province, with a capacity of 30 beds (20 beds for adults and 10 for children). The center will include a daily care unit for providing chemo and biological treatment and two devices for radiation therapy on a daily basis. The center's tumor treatment will be in accordance with the highest standards of medical services, alleviating the burden of travelling on patients seeking treatment outside the province.  
 
The MOH called upon businessmen and private sector companies to join the Ministry in promoting the level of health services in our beloved kingdom and activating the concept of social partnership among all community institutions, in such a manner that contributes to improving the health services provided for the citizens.
