Al-Rabiah Meets Governor of Northern Border, Inspects Health Facilities in the Region

His Royal Highness Prince Meshal bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Northern Border, met today at his Emirate's office with His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah and his accompanying delegation, currently visiting the region. The meeting discussed a number of topics concerning the development of health services in the region, in addition to the region's health needs and means to support them.
 
The Governor of the Northern Border lauded the efforts exerted by the Ministry of Health (MOH) in light of the gracious support offered to the health sector by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Crown Prince and the Deputy Crown Prince, may Allah protect them all.
 
For his part, Al-Rabiah expressed his happiness over the meeting, highlighting the efforts of the Governor of the Northern Region and his keenness to support the region with all service aspects, particularly in the health domain.  
 
Upon the meeting, Al-Rabiah paid a surprise visit to Arar Central Hospital, where he checked on patients and their health conditions, met with the hospital staff, and got acquainted with the progress of work. Within the same vein, he inaugurated the Cooperative Healthcare Clinics Complex in Arar, which is reckoned one of the urgent and quick solutions implemented by Prince Muhammad bin Abdulaziz City, in collaboration with Arar Health Affairs General Directorate, to provide health services in the region, until completion of the medical city. This Complex aims to reduce medical referrals (at a rate of 50%), by means of providing diagnostic, specialized and therapeutic services through recruiting consultants. Such developmental step came in line with the Saudi Vision 2030 and the National Transformation Program. 
   
During his inspection tour, Al-Rabiah inaugurated the Anti-Smoking Clinics Complex and visited Arar 300-bed Medical Tower (under construction), where he got acquainted with the progress of work, and gave his orders to overcome all difficulties for quick completion of the project and benefiting from its services. Upon its completion, the project will play a vital role in upgrading the level of health services and will contribute to improving them, in such a manner that achieves the aspirations of the citizens of the region. After that, he inaugurated “Halfway House”, which provides services for those recovering from addiction, where he met with them and got briefed on the services provided to them. Also, he met during the inspection tour with a number of citizens and listened to their demands and proposals about the development of health services in the region.  
        
At the end of the visit, Al-Rabiah extended his thanks and appreciation to the workers of those facilities and commended their efforts, meanwhile urging them to double their efforts, in an endeavor to provide the best healthcare to patients and visitors and promote the medical services provided to them, in such a manner that gains their satisfaction and maintains their health and safety.
