MOH Holds Training Courses on Disaster Management and Emergency Preparedness

The Ministry of Health’s (MOH) Training and Scholarships General Department, represented by the Clinical Skills and Simulation Centre (CSSC), has held two training courses on Disaster Management and Emergency Preparedness (DMEP), in collaboration with the Regional Center for Disaster Management and Emergency Preparedness at the Headquarter of King Saud University for Health Sciences' Deanship of Higher Studies in Jeddah on Wednesday and Thursday, May 31st – June 1st, 2016 (corresponding to Sha‘ban 24th and 25th, 1437H). The courses are accredited by the American College of Surgeons (ACS).
  
The Deputy Minister of Health for Human Resources, Mr. Abdul-Hadi Al-Mansouri, highlighted the MOH's keenness to take all necessary measures and precautions and harness all capabilities for the provision of emergency services, along with its ongoing services, via its health facilities, in accordance with the highest international standards.
 
For his part, the Director General of the Training and Scholarships General Department, Dr. Mansour Al-Yami, pointed out that these courses, which targeted 235 candidates from the healthcare categories and various leaderships for 1437H, have been implemented in phases in the different regions of the Kingdom. He added that this phase came in continuation of the qualification and preparation of the competencies as trainers; in an endeavor to get the Clinical Skills & Simulation Centre (CSSC), as a MOH accredited center for disaster management and emergency preparedness.
