Al-Duweila' Inaugurates Saudi Health Exhibition and Conference

Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Health Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, the Vice Minister of Health, Mr. Hamad Al-Duweila' has inaugurated the Saudi Health Exhibition and Conference with the presence of 12 ambassadors of participating countries. On this occasion, Al-Duweila' expressed his happiness over participation of many Arab and friendly countries, saying that he is proud of the international participation in the exhibition, and thanked the sponsors of the event. He pointed out that the development witnessed in the Ministry of Health (MOH) will be, Allah willing, in line with the Kingdom Vision 2030.
   
He stressed that the MOH is working toward privatization which will be announced soon, hoping that all efforts exerted for the conference will be crowned with total success. The exhibition, organized by Riyadh Exhibitions Company Ltd. in collaboration with Informa Company, was launched at Riyadh International Convention& Exhibition Center (RICEC) under the theme "Change starts at a point, the transformation point". The 3-day exhibition is considered the largest healthcare event in the Kingdom.
 
The exhibition aims to shed light on the healthcare sector in the Kingdom, upgrade its standards, develop medical and health services, increase awareness among the local community, in addition to direct communication with the community and its various categories and cultural levels. 
 
With more than 550 exhibitors from 42 countries and 14 international pavilions, the exhibition brings together public and private sectors to the largest health event in the Kingdom, with the aim of enhancing communication, exchanging experiences, identifying the best practices in the health sector, showcasing the latest internationally-accredited technologies and services for more than 19000 decision makers and specialists in the field of medicine and healthcare. 
 
Also, 15 scientific conferences have been planned on the sidelines of the event, to discuss important topics including: nursing, biomedical engineering, patient safety, primary healthcare, obstetrics and gynecology, pharmaceutical care, security and safety in medical facilities, emergency medicine, infection control, medical physics, diagnostic radiology and medical rehabilitation.
 
The participation of the MOH in the Saudi health exhibition is seen as a good chance to review its innovative health solutions, acquaint visitors with the latest health services, support partnership with the private sector for pushing the wheel of development in the health sector up to the best international standards and to promote community members' sense of safety under the sponsorship of the MOH.
